Dresses (part II)

I love dresses.

You might remember me declaring this a time or two.
And it seems to me this late spring/early summer everyone is wearing them.

I finally decided to go a on a serious dress hunt.
This is what I came up with after a week or two of shopping around:

(and can I just say I am totally in love?)

Both Cardigan and Dress came from the Gap Outlet

Sweater is from Banana Republic Outlet and Dress is from Target

Both Sweater and Dress came from Old Navy, but are from last summer

So I guess the last dress doesn't really count as part of my 'dress hunt,' but I love it so much that I thought I'd post a little picture of it anyway. I would've taken a better picture of it but, as you can see, someone was more interested in me photographing her rather than the dress. (Isn't my Piper the cutest? I am biased, I know.)

I also have a simple black jersey knit dress coming in the mail.

Can you guess my favorite?
hint: it involves paisley and a yellow cardigan ;)

Lastly, might I recommend this amazing website, Polyvore, if you too are searching around for the perfect dress(es).
It was suggested to me in my comments by the lovely Clair, though she did warn I may get 'sucked in' by all the lovely things.

Now you are warned too.

Ahh, I'm so wishing I had your taste of combining delicate dresses of color with tops... I really favor the yellow bolero with the bohemian print dress:) Gosh if you were any closer to my home I would run over and ask to borrow it for a very lovely evening out... because you know you would be a kind friend if you were nested here in my town, and you would so let me as long as I promised to give you collateral in case of damages rendered, tehee :P

Ah, but alas, I must now go find my own, being inspired by you:)

See ya,
m

Mitsy - aww thank you! You know if it wasn't a last summer dress I would mail you one as a sweet surprise. It's been a while since I wrote out your looooong street's name! ;)

Michaela - Thank you so much for your nice comments! I do love how that dress and bolero came together too, completely by accident! I would certainly let you borrow it if I lived near you, but I do know you could go out and get the dress if you like it as I got it only a few days ago :)
