Under the Sea - Update

I thought I was finished with this series, and decided, Nope! I'm not finished quite yet!

The most recent addition to my shop is this cute little angler fish. I don't know if you've seen what this guy looks like in real life, but he is not really a fish I thought I could make look "cute." Well I am certainly happy that I tried, because I think he's my new favorite Under the Sea print!

Custom Birth Prints

Ever since I had my sweet baby boy I have loved making custom birth prints. It is so fun to design them, and see how customers customize them for their own sweet bundle of joy(s)! Unfortunately I have not finalized one for my own baby (I keep changing my mind, ugh), but until I do I will have to just enjoy seeing what others come up with.

Flickr Favorites - House Pillows

Every once in a while I stumble upon something that I immediately fall in love with. Recently it is house shaped pillows! I think they are the cutest little things and would look fantastic on our sofa.

Now I need to ask my mom if she will help me sew them (because as I have said a million times, I can NOT sew!)

Summer Colors

I often like to post neat things my mom has made for her shop.

I can't sew and she can create amazing things like it is nothing. Recently she has been making cute little one of a kind zippered pouches for her etsy shop, with unique zipper pulls.

My current favorite is this summer bag with a cute little felt bird attached to the zipper. I can't imagine sitting there doing all that hand embroidering and beading! She loves it though. Good thing because I'll probably be asking her to make me one of my own a.s.a.p. ;)

Between the crappy weather and our baby boy I have spent a lot of time indoors. Staring at the same set of walls day in and day out has brought on a strong urge to redecorate! Of course because of that new little baby this will most certainly not be happening (and he's worth it so it's okay!), but it is still nice to dream of what I would do if I was going to change things up.

Perhaps I'll settle for some new art on the walls!

Ever since the words "it's a boy" were spoken I've been unable to do any crafts.

At first I didn't even notice because I was deep into "survival" mode. But it's been 5 weeks and I'm starting to get the hang of this whole baby thing. The unfinished knitting projects collecting dust on our coffee table have been catching my eye lately. I'm really hoping it won't take another 5 weeks before I can get back to them!

Free Time

Today something unusual happened.

My sweet little boy decided to take a super long afternoon nap!

Finally, a chance to do some much needed updates to my print shop. The first thing I decided to tackle was my custom birth prints. I recently did a set of prints for a mother of twins and loved the way she customized them so much I added some of her changes to my entire collection of prints (and added the monkeys to list of print options because they are so darn cute!).

I am so ready for it to finally be here! Once in a while we catch a glimpse of it with a warm sunny day, only to have cold wind and rain remind us it is not quite time.

I am so ready for that warm weather and sunshine.

Flickr Favorites - Dreams

This week Artmind asked us to make a flickr favorites based around our dreams.

Oh boy.

This turned out to be nearly impossible for me right now because I'm not sleeping right now, because of a certain little 3 week old boy in my life. So I tried to remember back to when I did dream (and get long stretches of glorious, glorious, sleep!).

You may have heard that when you are pregnant you will dream strange dreams. This is very true. I had the wackiest dreams while I was pregnant, all of which I never understood. There was only one dream during my entire pregnancy that was about me being pregnant. It happened when I was around 10 weeks along and always scared of how my teeny tiny bean was doing. In the dream I was showing my daughter (I got that part wrong!) off to family when she was brand new. I was madly in love and woke up feeling so full of happiness and hope for the future. All dreams should leave us feeling so wonderful I think.

Well on that note my beautiful son is letting me know he would once again like my attention. Someday I will sleep long enough to dream again...right?
