My trip to Ireland is in two weeks.
I have many things in order, but there is one seemingly simple task I can't do. One simple little thing that should be no problem at all to figure out. What is this one little thing I can't do?
Pick out what knitting project I will bring along.
The flight over is 6+ hours and that would make for some prime knitting time! Besides what else am I going to do on the plane? Watch the same movie repeatedly?
I have poured over my Ravelry favorites, patterns, photos of knitting on flickr, and the few knitting/crochet books I have.
And nothing.
I can't pick one single project I want to bring with me.
Any suggestions?
I love lace, and shawl knitting.
I dislike sock knitting.
I am trying, but not very good at garment knitting. Yet.
I also love to crochet. (especially blankets)
I look forward to any and all suggestions.

Only 2 weeks till you leave? Waah, exciting! :)
And I'm surprised you're awake at this hour of the day but then, you're on Ravelry so I can understand now! LOL
Lovely colors in your mosaic too!
I think you would wip up this project in much less then 6 hours but it would give you time to watch the movie & do some crocheting! :)

what a great RED mosaic!
Just one question, can you actually take knitting needles on the plane? what with all this security measures and taking away the stuff that is dangerous... you know, in case you decide to become a terrorist in the middle of the flight LOL
Just asking, I don't really know!
Good luck!
You're allowed knitting needles on a plane? Now that's a surprise :)
Loving the colours in your mosaic - and hope you manage to choose a project soon x
Well I haven't checked (and I will be checking before I go), but as of my last flight you are allowed knitting needles but not crochet hooks or something weird like that.
I know I should really be checking that before trying to find a pattern :)
Mitsy, love that pattern!
Update!
This is what the TSA (transport security admin.) website says about knitting on the plane:
Knitting needles are permitted in your carry-on baggage or checked baggage.
Items needed to pursue a Needlepoint project are permitted in your carry-on baggage or checked baggage with the exception of circular thread cutters or any cutter with a blade contained inside which cannot go through the checkpoint and must go in your checked baggage.
Okay, now I really do need help picking out a pattern :D
Gorgeous mosaic! Great color and I love to knit something time by time.
Have a nice trip!
Ravelry & knitting...a combination that makes for a perfect day!
